We are made to grow and flourish with a life full of purpose and meaning just like any other people that we see or read about in books or in blogs, other we see in their vlogs. We see these people having the time of their lives and grabbing each rich opportunity of experience that goes their way.
Among many other things, one major factor that they have, that many people who felt trapped in their lives doesn’t have is the patter of healthy positive habits that rules their lives. On many parts many people missed this opportunity with their development. So how do we build these positive habits in our lives to turn our lives around, for a better and more vivid life? Here’s how.
Be precise in what you want
The first thing that you have to do is be precise on what do you really want, and what habits do you want to cultivate in your life and what negative unhealthy habits you want to unlearn in your life as a person? You have to know these and be precise, for example you just don’t want to set a goal on waking up early, you have to set the time and be precise on what you want to do in waking up early in the day, and you have to unlearn behaviours that keeps you up at night that would make you sleep longer during the early morning. Be precise in the behaviour that you want and doesn’t want in your life pattern.
Always have a set plan during for the whole duration of your day. This will also set the tone on being productive during the day or being lousy and lazy. If you’re working for a better life now have a 2022 planner now and set the goals that you want to achieve for the year to come.
This would mean that you have to plan in details the date and the month that you will be starting and accomplishing this goals that you have. It doesn’t matter if you feel that you are too old or too late for this goal, you go for it if it makes you feel complete and competent.
Write your thoughts
Have a diary and write your thoughts, especially for those who are living alone or working far from home always do the habit of writing a diary for yourself. In this diary you can be fully honest with yourself, your feelings, and even how you see the world around you. You can even write a poem or anything that comes to mind. This helps the mind keep check of its own mental health and also it helps in growing as an individual in learning how to articulate your feelings, thoughts, and emotions in an effective way.
Be Patient with yourself
Always be patient with yourself. Nobody does it the first time, or so they say. So, in trying to be a better person, there will be times that you will be feeling like an impostor or you will feel like it does not do anything, just be patient with yourself.
Be patient in your own growth and just take each day a step at a time and you will see how far you have gone if you only focus on what is in front of you for the moment and never compare yourself to other people, that is toxic on your part.
In being and becoming a better person you always have to ask yourself, will it be worth it and why, for whom am I doing it for, who will benefit from this? And the answer to that will be the purpose and meaning in your new found resolve.
